“Who made this website and what’s its purpose?”
Incessant Ramblings is a blog and personal website hosted by Isaiah Terveen, a Minneapolis-based writer, musician, linguist, and scholar. He created this blog to have a space to freely share his research and creative projects.

“What kind of things does he post about?”
The author’s main interests and things he posts about on this blog are architecture, public transportation (especially heavy rail), music, film, linguistics, history, Christianity (particularly Anglican and Catholic traditions), and geography.
“Why such a diverse range of topics?”
Being an autistic man, Isaiah has had periods of extreme interest and hyperfixation on a variety of topics. These fixations have resulted in a breadth of knowledge encompassing a wide range of fields, all of which he is eager to share with listeners both willing and unwilling. You can expect to see posts of personal reflections, ranked lists of media, informative articles and histories, opinion pieces, and original music and stories.
“What qualifications does the author have?”
Isaiah graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2021 with a BA in Linguistics and a Minor in German Studies. He also holds an MA in Linguistics from York University, which he earned in 2024. Career-wise, Isaiah has worked jobs in German-language environments, taught private music lessons on various instruments, and been an altar server at multiple Episcopal and Anglican churches. Beyond that, his knowledge of various subjects comes from his own research.
“Can I contact the author?”
A way to contact the author is currently a work-in-progress as of May 2026. He would like to be able to take suggestions for articles and posts in the very near future. Stay tuned for more information!
